Native American sculpture

Description

OK, so this took WAY too *bleeping* *bleeping* time than it should have done, and all because of that ruddy feather. Nearly a million polygons for just one feather (which is more evident in the close-up shots). No wonder my computer crashed three times!

No, I'm not that good at human anatomy yet. The head was the basic demo-head provided with ZBrush - I used it as a base to sculpt my own character around. Not a huge amount of sculpting went into the face, but lots of tweaks. Unfortunately, I didn't have a reference to work from, so I had to guess at the Native American characteristics. The hair was great fun, as was the base. I wanted him to look like he was emerging from a rocky landscape, and I think I managed that. As usual, I've learnt a lot. I just need to compare this to my 'early' renders to see the difference...(says she, having only had the program for less than a week).

ZBrush only...and FAR too much time. About 6 hours.

That should have been amateur not armature in my message above. Armature makes less sense, overall.
