Description

"And at the Ninth hour, Jesus shouted "Eloi! Eloi! Lama sabachthani?" which is translated 'My God! My God! Wherefore hast thou forsaken me?'"

This is the second version of [link]

I finally found some good thorns to use! I tried adding the spear wound to his side, but it looked too fake. I wanted to try to keep it as realistic-looking as possible. Except his eyes, I took the liberty of playing around with them...hehe!

This started as something totally different. I've often said that every image has a manipulation lurking inside it - all the artist has to do is know how to look for it. This is the image I found inside this one. I would never have done a Jesus manip, had I not been given the stock that had the manip lurking inside it. Suitable for Easter, though! Let's keep in mind what that's all about, after all.

Critical break down from the peanut gallery:
1) Jesus is a Jew, not a Caucasian.
2) Jesus was said to be in his 30s when he was crucified.
3) Jesus was also a rugged-man's man, a carpenter by trade.

Considering these factors, the model you used is a bit weak or inadequate--however! His body posture and facial expression fits the question "Why?"
